Recently separated from her partner and struggling to make ends meet, Jess, a nurse and single mother, returns to her childhood home on an isolated homestead with her daughter and young son, Owen. Yet soon after their arrival, Owen suffers a bite from a neighbor's dog that worsens with time, ultimately causing an enigmatic infection. Jess must then race against time to protect her son from a grisly fate.
