Maja is peacefully living with her husband Lewis in post-World War II America when one day she meets their next-door neighbor. Immediately, it dawns on her that he was the person who brutalized her and her family during the war. Convinced that she is right, she devises a plan to kidnap him and to make him pay for the heinous crimes he committed against her that brought immense suffering into her life.
