Suss grows up in a family where success, power and cohesion are a matter of course. Attention revolves around the adored father and Suss is marked by her callous mother's inability to see and love Suss for who she really is. In a desperate attempt to free herself from her family, Suss proposes to a man she has only just gotten to know. The series is based on Cecilia Gyllenhammar's novel of the same name.
