An anthology of three short sci-fi films stars Andie MacDowell, Sydney Tamiia Poitier and Anthony LaPaglia. Anne Heche, Helen Mirren and Mary Stuart Masterson directed. In "Reaching Normal," a housewife (MacDowell) hears mysterious voices; "Happy Birthday" tells of a gifted student (Poitier) who gets "quota'd out" of grad school; and in "The Other Side," a terminally ill scientist (LaPaglia) clones himself.
